The parallel movement of the jaws is generated by a wedge hook gear. The drive is provided by a double-acting pneumatic piston.
The wedge-hook gear has been specially developed for the 3-jaw parallel gripper: The transmission of the forces is realized via three surfaces, which results in a low wear of the drive.
